 big time difference
i started like you too
trying software, atomix , bpm , mixvibes , dj traktor
Huge Difference + it's not fun to do it with the mouse
you can use your hands to touche 3 things at the same time
while you can only use the mouse to touch one thing
+nothing's better than hands
Software hasn't reached the power of hardware in digital signal processing, and it will take some times for it to work as good as hardware
as i said the hardest part is actually buying the equipment

Well, I'm using VirtualDJ for mixing, by editing each song as I want by Sound Forge and Cubase,I don't know how is the Music compositing by Materials ( Groovebox, Midi keyboards...) but I like using sample recorded by the street and sampling a beat, and begin composing music trough softwars...!
about djying , i'm just practicing thoses weeks by 2 Pioneer CDJ500 II and an Pioneer DJM500, I know there is not a last Tech, but I need to Practice myself on Materiel as Normal Level DJ
I'm just trying with House music because it's more Easy, and I like Mixing at least 4 Hours of Goa/PsyTrance as a good mix, but i'm searchin to look how profesional DJS works, I don't need to see him/her, but his hands by sounds and Images :s
where I have to search, I don't know :s

yes good product, but it looks like a toy for children, there is no profesional crossfader in it , nor the effects, not pitches :s
so good for nomad djs ,but I prefer the Stanton Finalscratch 1.5, I don't afford it , but I like It, I use it by a friend, and it's something great by Vinyls, but there is a little noises on the scratch, i think because of the CPU 1.7Ghz, and 256 Mb in Memory :s, it needs more, and then FLY to the SOFT-HARD djying !

Personnally I bought for my house a DJ Pack from Numark. I changed the needles for better ones, but it s enought for practice. Don t forget that it s useless to buy something to good because u won t find the same in a club. If it s just for u, don t spend to much. Keep the money for good vynils !!!
