DJ Samy A, by his given name Samy Abassi, was born in the city of Casablanca (Morocco) in 1979. As a child his sport was soccer so obviously everybody thought that he will become a football player. But things did not turn out that way. In 1999 Samy finishes his college with a diploma in Mathematical Science and leaves for Canada, Montreal where, at Concordia University, he obtains a degree in Computer Science. In the meantime, to entertain himself he follows big DJs around the Montreal scene. He starts producing short loops on some computer based programs such as Cubase and Fruity loop. He discovers then a passion that he wants to share with rest of world. A few months later, he buys his first turntables. It is time to switch the sides and get behind the deck. He starts giging in some local clubs in Montreal (such as Taro Supper lounge, Time, Tribe Hyper club) and organizing parties under his first label SA Entertainment.
Being a DJ is about feeling the crowd and delivering them that experience that they are all waiting for. With his particular and narrow style, his melodic minimal deep dark techy house DJ Samy A has impressed a lot of his listeners. Now between Barcelona, Casablanca, and Montreal under the label 'Art and Prod' he is offering his fans the chance to capture the feeling of therapy through music, the pleasure of listening to their own emotions… and that only a passionate DJ could achieve. Samy A is guaranteed to establish a strong name style and fanbase around the globe.
